Silicon Hose & Sponge

MRP supply a wide range of silicone tubing rubber, suitable for almost any application across most industries. We can produce silicone tubing with internal diameters starting from as little as 0.5mm, mid-range tubes commonly used for carrying liquids/powders in the food processing and pharmaceutical industries, plus large-bore tubing, typically used in hot air ducting and the automotive sector.

  • Thermal Stability: Silicone rubber can withstand extreme temperatures, remaining flexible in conditions as low as -100°C and as high as 315°C. This makes it highly suitable for applications that face harsh thermal  environments.
  • Low Toxicity: With minimal chemical reactivity, silicone rubber is a safe option for applications in the food, beverage, and medical fields. Its low toxicity ensures that it does not introduce harmful substances.
  • Resistance to Micro-Bacterial Growth: The material naturally resists the growth of microbes, making it ideal for sterile environments such as medical devices and food processing equipment.
  • Flexibility: Unlike other rubbers, silicone maintains its flexibility across a wide range of temperatures, ensuring reliable performance in diverse conditions.

These properties collectively make silicone rubber a versatile and highly reliable material for a multitude of applications, from kitchenware to medical devices. Whether you’re dealing with extreme temperatures or seeking a non-toxic, flexible solution, silicone rubber offers a range of benefits that are hard to match.

Silicone Dairy Tubing

MRP platinum cured silicone ‘dairy tubing’ is ideal for use in the dairy industry due to its high mechanical wear and excellent tear strength characteristics.

Platinum curing offers a number of advantages over peroxide curing, such as being non-yellowing with no peroxide by-products. Unlike conventional black rubber tubing often used for milking, MRP platinum cured tube does not
harden and corrode with use. This extremely durable product is made using highly polished dies to create an extra smooth inner bore to improve flow rate and hygiene levels.

This product is stocked in 70° Shore A Hardness inner diameters of 7mm to 38mm, with twin tubes also available in 7 or 8mm inside.

Silicone rubber strips (also known as tape) are useful for a variety of sealing and gap filling applications, particularly when resistance to chemical or environmental changes, such as extreme temperatures, is important.
